We want to ensure that every learning experience runs smoothly, allowing our students to benefit optimally from our tutoring sessions. Below, you'll find our house rules to help create a positive and productive learning environment:

How does an online tutoring session work?

On the day of the appointment, the student receives a reminder message indicating that a tutoring session is scheduled for today. In this message, the student will find a link to the streaming studio where they need to log in for the lesson. Additionally, they receive a private link to review the lesson later. The lesson is not publicly accessible on the platform but only through this specific link.

The lessons take place on a streaming platform, where they are recorded and later uploaded to a video platform such as YouTube. The student can then watch the lesson at a later time, at their convenience. The student can also choose to not record the lesson.

1. Arrival time for students

If a student expects to be later than planned, we kindly ask for you to reach out on time. Our lessons are carefully scheduled, with just a few minutes between sessions to facilitate logging in and out. For example, if an hour-long session starts at 3:00 PM, and the student is 15 minutes late, the session will essentially end at 4:00 PM.

2. Absence of students

If a student is unable to attend the scheduled tutoring, and there's no notification received at least 1 hour in advance, we reserve the right not to provide a rescheduling opportunity and not to grant a refund. Note: If you miss the intake assessment or a session more than 3 times a year, you will no longer be eligible for tutoring at Tibisay Tutoring.

3. Payment conditions

To confirm the session, we request payment at least a quarter day (6 hours) before the start of tutoring. If payment is not received, unfortunately, the session cannot take place.

4. Rescheduling opportunities

We offer rescheduling opportunities for missed lessons. And we understand that some students may prefer to proceed with the next scheduled lesson. The choice is yours; we are here to support you.

5. Absence of the tutor

If the tutor is delayed or absent, we will do our utmost to reschedule the missed tutoring session at a later time, after consultation with the student. If a lesson cannot take place due to circumstances under our responsibility (such as technical problems or power outages), we guarantee that tuition will be rescheduled without interruption and in full.

6. Agreement with the Rules

By taking tutoring sessions at Tibisay Tutoring, you agree to the above rules. If you are unable to comply with these rules, we acknowledge that participation in our tutoring sessions at Tibisay Tutoring may not be feasible for you.
